The duration of the cleaning process varies based on the size of the area to be cleaned or how many seats the upholstery has. Also the extent of cleaning requirements. e.g extra spotting or stain removal. Timing will also depend if you require any furniture to be moved. On average once the equipment is all set up and fibre or fabric identification has taken place, it usually takes around 30 – 60 minutes per room and 20 -30 minutes per seated area on sofas.

Tough Stains: Dave, our professional technician is fully NCCA trained and has many years of experience in various stain-removal techniques. Whether it’s a stubborn coffee stain, red wine, or make up marks etc, he has the expertise to target and treat specific stains. He’ll assess the type of stain, in order to apply the most suitable stain-removal method without causing damage.
Pet urine: Urine tends to seep through the carpet fibres, penetrating the underlying padding and sometimes even reaching the flooring beneath.The most effective way to combat this issue is by utilizing specialised cleaning agents designed to break down the chemical structure of the urine residue. These chemicals work to neutralize the alkaline salts and eliminate the lingering odour by targeting the compounds that cause the unpleasant smell. Without being separately treated, cleaning alone can reactivate the urine odour. We use a uv light to highlight areas that can’t be seen by eye and treat them separately using a specialised tool called a water claw. This penitrates in to the carpet backing flushing the urine problem at its core, removing the urine and odour, preventing it from returning.

The drying time after carpet or upholstery cleaning can vary based on several factors, including humidity, carpet thickness, carpet or fabric fibres types, airflow, and the cleaning method used.
On average, most carpets and soft furnishings will take around 2 hours to dry completely after a professional clean.
We do our best to leave carpets and upholstery more or less dry before we leave, using industrial fans.
However, it’s important to note that some factors can extend or shorten this timeframe.
High humidity levels can slow the drying process, as moisture in the air makes it harder for the carpet or fabrics to release moisture. In humid conditions, drying might take longer.
Thicker carpets and those with a dense pile tend to retain more moisture and may take longer to dry. On the other hand, thinner carpets with less density might dry more quickly.
For upholstery fabric, polyester type sofas will dry quicker than cotton but we dry these as we go along to insure minimum drying time so they are back in use as soon as possible
Good ventilation and airflow can significantly speed up the drying process. Opening windows, using fans, and turning on your heating can all help facilitate faster drying.
Different cleaning methods have varying levels of moisture. For instance, hot water extraction (steam cleaning) can leave more moisture in the carpet than low-moisture methods. However, it also provides a much deeper clean, leaving your carpets cleaner and healthier.
We also use low moisture, very low moisture and dry cleaning methods for both, carpet and upholstery cleaning where as these methods are usually used on more delicate fibre and fabrics like silk, viscose, velvet and sisal which are dry shortly after cleaning.
Low moisture cleaning methods are also used for our commercial maintenance cleans otherwise known as encapsulation cleaning which is carried out using rotary machines apposed to HWE machines on large commercial areas like offices and schools so that they can be back in service near enough straight away.
